Why isn't the volume working on my Samsung Blackjack II?

All of a sudden today, the volume started acting strange on my phone. Whenever I receive a text or a call, the text message alert and/or the ringtone sounds really choppy. I have a fig plant which is two years old?

Figs will ripen and mature when the tree is full of leaves. If you remove too many leaves the remaining figs will not mature. All you can do is prune only in the early spring before budding, and never remove new growth as the leaves are needed for maturing the fig. If the leaves are reduced due to lack of rain, or pruning the remaining figs will not ripen. Mixing finished compost by lightly scratching it into the soil will help but remember fig roots are very shallow. Do not dig in too deeply or you will hurt instead of help it. Small plants do not ripen figs very well. They will produce much better when the plant gets at least six feet tall.

South American aquatic plants?

I need to know what kind of dog I have. I've had him since he was a puppy ( he's 5 now). I know he is Black Lab. At first my aunt told me he was inbred. I don't think so because he is an incredibly smart dog. But, a while ago, when she telling someone about him, she said his dad was the pit bull from next door (and not his brother). I never noticed but, he does look like he may be Lab/ Pit mix. He is basically a Black Lab, but short and stocky, and he has like a big alligator head. you mentioned mowing gardens had failed but we had a young kid came round our house with his own electric mower and we paid him to do the job. He didn't have to enter our house at any time and provided the mower himself so there were no trust issues to be had. It was all very simple. Another similar thing would be washing cars. Why does Vince McMahon dislike wrestlers from the Independent scene?

I have noticed that the WWE seems to have no respect for wrestlers that come from the independent scene. Why is that? Vince only wants his useless farm grown, FCW talents. Just look at how unspeakably awful the NXT guys are in the ring. Every time a wrestler comes in, or tries to, from the independent scene they are done away with almost immediately. Look at how Daniel Bryan has been buried and made to be a constant jobber in the WWE. I can't remember any indy wrestler making it in the WWE. I was walking with a friend down the pavement (can't remember what we were talking about) and we had to cross the road. Yea, i just got them 3 days ago. The day after is def. the worst. Well as attractive as it is, keep your mouth open in a relaxed way, and your jaw relaxed and not have your teeth touch each other, it helps a lot. Don't talk much either, it'll keep your tongue from rubbing against the things around your back teeth. I'm sure you have figured out to only eat soft foods. Get some ice cream, it feels great on your mouth! Take some Tylenol, ibuprofen, any pain relievers help a little. For wax i noticed that you have to have the place where you put it kinda dry, that helps. but don't play with your braces with your tongue (as hard as it is). it gets better as time goes by don't worry :-) But remember that your tongue and cheeks etc. will heal up and get used to it and it wont be a problem. Kinda how when you first start playing a guitar it hurts your fingers really bad, but as you keep playing it doesn't effect you anymore. hope this helps good luck! :-)

I actually have! It took me three weeks to get a positive, and it was so dramatic! I tested when I missed my period, BFN. A week later I went to my primary care doctor for their test, BFN. He told me to visit my OB/GYN to find out why I wasn't getting my period since it was so late. I stopped taking hpt's at that point because I figured there was no chance. A week and a half later I went to the OB/GYN, and they always have you give a urinary sample before the doctor meets with you. I had no idea, and my doctor walks in and says "Congrats!" I almost fell off the table! If you don't get your period, do see a doctor because there could be something there that you need to get checked out.

So I'm so excited, I can't even express all of this joy! I lost 9 pounds in 4 weeks on weight wacthers, and now it's easy and I'm not even tempted to eat crap because I'm so excited about the results I'm seeing. I've lost 2 inches off of my hips, and I bought my first pair of skinny jeans. I still have around 20 pounds to lose, but I feel great! I've lost 15 pounds since this summer, and I'm stoked. I totally feel for you. I have a lot of contact allergies (among others) and I agree with you, definitely go for that second opinion! Latex (contact) allergies can vary in severity, and you sound like you experienced the more severe topical variety. I have had anaphylactic reactions before and from your description you did not experience anaphylaxis (that would involve the closing of your throat and have you struggling for breath). What you are going through is severe nonetheless and requires some form of treatment, maybe short burst corticosteroid therapy or something else. You need to know the difference between complete anaphylaxis and severe topical allergic reactions. My best suggestion is that you go see an allergist, he or she will be the one to properly diagnose, test and treat you for your latex allergy. In the meantime, your workplace should be willing to accomodate you, I don't understand why they are so uncooperative. Perhaps if you have a note from a qualified allergist stating that you are not allowed to work with latex products it will make a difference. If not, you will have to make a choice based on the frequency and severity of your symptoms. Hope this helps. Good luck!

How do I wean my 17-month old off of her pacifier during the day?

I am a stay at home mom and have a very happy 17-month old who just happens to be in love with her paci and "lovey". We don't go anywhere without them. I guess I am at fault for this because I have been letting her do it. However, she really enjoys having both. Gestational diabetes and hypoglycemic?

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes about 2 weeks ago and have been monitoring my sugar levels for the last few days, since I got my meter. Anyway, over the last week, since I've started trying to follow the dietary guidelines laid out for me by my hospital, then the dietitian, I've had a few times when I was late eating and got hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) symptoms. Just fyi, I get extremely hungry, shaky, emotional and have trouble focusing. I looked it up tonight and those are all symptoms of hypoglycemia. I'm not on meds, so I'm trying to figure out just what's going on. Any ideas?

How fairs the writing so far sounds like you overdosed on college Shakespearean courses. Couple of nibbles on NYC literary agents, both wanted first chapter plus one wanted synopsis. My personal belief is LA are better than small publishers because LA is the only route into the big publishing houses. With big houses one gets top notch marketing pros, top flight editors, and name recognition in the literary world. It's a tough nut to crack, however, it takes an insane amount of determination to land the right agent. Bottom line is fiction is a lot tougher to get published than non fiction. Unless you have racked up an impressive resume of having short stories published in university run lit mags the odds are way against you. Non fiction is easier to get published, still tough however, but big time publishers are looking for creative non fiction with a strong narrative. I've been published in big time periodicals but never published a book. Without sounding vain, I'm still hoping.

I've been to a few staffing agencies and some tell you that they require a background check or they post a sign in their office saying that every candidate will go through a background check, which I know takes a few days to get the results, but yet at the same time, they are so eager to submit your resume right away to their client. Do they really perform these background checks or even check your references before they choose to represent you? Or is it more of a scare tactic to try to deter anyone with a questionable background from applying at their company?

I used to date this guy (1) who I fell for really quickly. He ended things when his life fell apart (he battled major depression and wanted to end his life - serious, life changing stuff and he's really not the same), but we've remained friends. I stay at his house often, we share a bed, but nothing has "happened" between us for a couple of months (his choice). So I'm not one to force the issue, seems we've reverted to purely friends, although I love him. I feel neglected that he isn't affectionate with me (because it was fine for a long time, now he feels it's wrong although he denies seeing anyone else - I'm at his place all weekend every weekend and I think he would find it hard to fit someone else in anyway), I mean I'm 27 and I have a pulse! I know this other guy (2) and we've hung out a few times, kissed a few times and I know there would be more (physically) if I allowed it to happen. I've been keeping my distance because I'm not sure how I would handle the guilt of looking at (1) and sharing his bed. Maybe he wouldn't even care (although judging from his reaction to purely platonic friendships I've had with other guys, he might kick up a stink). My question is, is it wrong to head down a self-fulfilling path if me and (2) were to have some fun? I've tried to talk to (1) about the lack of affection, but he refuses to talk about it which hurts. my love for him is what stops me, but I feel if he felt the same, things would be different. When I get angry I throw things/hit things, but I stop myself help?

i used to go thought the same thing when i was your age. I would get angry quickly with my mother and say and do things which i later regretted. Try to stay calm. When your mom starts something which is making you angry quietly walk away and go to your room. That is what i started doing. If you sit there and listen to her then it will provoke you to talk back, simply walk away. I started writing in a journal when i was angry. So keep a notebook and when you are feeling angry or sad just take it all out on paper you will feel ten times lighter trust me it really helped me. If you feel like crying then don't hold your tears back let them out and you will feel better within seconds. So, next time just walk away and instead of finding things to throw, pick up a pen and a notebook and take it all out on the paper. Then try to take a short nap when you wake up you will forget you were even angry!

HTC Fuze. I have an HTC phone myself (the newer Touch Pro from Sprint) and it is AMAZING! I love it! If you've never use windows better sooner than later as it's very hard to avoid the older you get. I personally would let him be on his belly if he roles there, have you tried waiting out the crying? If that doesnt work put him in his carseat correctly (make sure the harness is on correctly) and try that a few nights and slowly get him back to his bed after a couple of days. Have you tried placing foam padding on either side of him so he cant role over (remember babies should be sleeping on their sides or upright to prevent SIDS-the inability to breathe on their tummies or the sufocation of spit up while they are on their backs)? You may want to let the swaddling go also, it could end up being a very bad thing in the end.

Anovulation and weight loss?

Hello everyone! My bf and I have been trying to conceive since Oct 2009 (also I have had no periods since 0ct 2009). Well with no luck, I decided to go see a doctor. I recently (July 2010) was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Once I took medication, I started my period and ovulated but that was short lived and only happened for one month. Well, I went to the doctor on Oct 27, 2010 and he diagnosed me with anovulation. He told me to lose 5% (15 lbs) of my body weight and I should start my cycles again. Well, I have been on the Atkins diet since Oct 27, 2010 and I lost 15 pounds. I started my period yesterday. However, it is really dark brown and barely gets any on my pad. Is this normal? Will I start to ovulate again? Is this actually a period? Sorry for all the questions but I am nervous and excited!

i sympathise with you. the lady is probably having a major problem of identification with particular kind of life. this is a common problem with mother in laws, they feel threatened, that their place will be taken by someone else, though it sounds funny it could be true, she must be used to recieving love and attention from her son and now she has a fear that her life will change and her place will be stolen by someone else, this fear exists in some people on the subconscious level and they dont realise what they are doing basically they have to be nade awre that though externally the situation is changing internally the love is the same, it is very difficult, but being lovingly understanding is the best way to go.

Your not being sensitive, no one wants to hear what their partners ex's were like but what you do need to know is that they are ex's and probably for a very good reason. Talk to her again and explain that you find it upsetting for her to talk about her ex's and that you feel like she is comparing you to them. She could be just trying to make sure that you don't make the same mistakes that they did and that's why she's telling you how it went wrong with them, kind of a security device. Either way you need to talk to her again about it.
