Looks like America is going down, will the UK go down too?

Will there just be more and more deficit spend, borrowing and widespread unemployment and misery for decades ahead? The simple math certainly indicates no other possibility. Was it the hapless, greed and arrogant politicians who brought this own? Did they help the robber barons scam the whole damn world? They still don't seem to get it.
