How should I ask him to Sadie's?

I have had this boyfriend for almost two months and we will be three months on the actual date of Sadie's, which is February 28. So I was wondering what the perfect way of asking him to our Sadie's dance would be? He used to play football but he injured his thumb and no longer does, so anything sports related is out. He loves movies so maybe play with that idea? Thanks so much, please don't say just ask because I don't want to.
