Can anyone help me with my flash drive transfer/copy/save?

I need to put some downloaded music from Ares into my flash drive. I have a Gateway Profile PC. I can not remember the steps on how to move certain songs from the Ares folder to the flash drive. Can anyone help me? They say that I should not put all the music I downloaded into a playlist? Save it? Can anyone give me step by step directions?
